Background- i had two featherfins fighting amd one caught a fungul infection which i had no choice but to toss into the tank next to it containing two other fish. The featherfin soon recovered and became the dominant fish in the tank. About a month later i noticed some fin rot on the original two fish a hoplos and starry night cichlid. Over the past week i completed an entire treatment of melafix. The fin rot didnt slow down so i switched to melafix.

Question- how long should it take for erythromycin to start slowing down the progression of fin rot? I am on my 3rd day of treatment should i switch to a different medication after the final day of treatment is finished since i haven't noticed any slowing of the fin rot?
