How long does it take live rock to gain color

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
the grouper was a cycle fish, there was absolutely no intention of keeping him in the 29 gallon tank for more than a month. He is out now and now i have a maroon goldbar clown, a bee goby, 2 blood shrimp, a strawberry crab and a cleaner shrimp

The first two corals were zoanthids(a dot of purple in the middle surrounded by orange and then surrounded by green) and a green favites (i decided against exclusively softs)

I would stay away from marineland LED's. They aren't bright, and are very expensive. I would recommend Taotronic LED's, and also TopDogSellers's 3w LED's from eBay. They are on eBay and tend to be 1/2 price, but even more powerful! I have a 64x 3w LED set up for my 75 gallon reef, and it is very bright.

I agree with not getting marineland LEDs. They are way way overpriced and they are junk. Your light may be bright but what kind of PAR readings do you get?

Yeah I also agree, I'm not a marineland LED fan, not worth it. I went with a vertex LED 48' for my 75 gallon, and it's doing real nice.
