How long does it take to peel?

It depends on water, food, social situation, nature, nurture, etc...
you know, everything.
I find fish peel/fade faster when they're the "king" of their domain and they have many little friends to boss around. But those are ideal circumstances

Hopefully not to long. His belly is looking great and his gill plates are starting to look nice too.
Some times the flowers fade away with it, and some times they don't. It all really depends on the make up of the fish. You'll just have to wait and see because my guess is as good as yours! Good luck, post some pics!

Batteries dies, charging them now. This is him a bit over a week ago. He has progressed a bit since then.
Judging from the pic, I think the flowers will stay, I'm only saying this because near the front of him, he has faded and retained the flower. I could be wrong though.
I'll get a more recent pic here in a few minutes, need enough power in the batteries to get a couple pics.
