How long does it take to peel?

It has been for a couple weeks now, unfortunately hasn't gone any where.
There has been even more progress overnight so I will upload a pic after my batteries charge.
Now I could be wrong but I think salt might make them peel faster. He first started peeling after I added salt to the tank to help treat ick and I added it again a couple days ago and his progress went from slow to almost complete.
