I just bought some flametail peacock 1.25-1.75inch how long for them to color up the males and best feeding schedule for them to grow fast

I've raised these yrs ago, at that size I would feed once in the AM when lights go on, and again around supper time. Have patience, lot's of factors at play as to how soon the males will color up, including what the male/female ratio is. At some point a dominant male will emerge, typically you should start seeing early signs of a male at around the 2 1/2 - 3" mark. Good luck.

Thx I will be moving the less dominant males I have 6 growing out if I have 2 males and 4 females is tht fine or I would need to try and get more females for them

1 male to 3 females is typically adequate. If you have multiple males, better to have 3, vs 2, as the sub dominant males will get harassed by the dom male. Better to have a couple extra males to spread the aggression around a bit. Or just keep 1 male.

Ngara Flametail is my most favorite peacock. I kept many peacock species before, and Flametail is one of the most peaceful and smaller peacock. They mature rather quickly, from fry size to sexual maturity in about 10 months at around 3 inch for males. Flametail is the only species I currently still maintain a breeding colony. In the attached pic, the reddest Flametail at the center is my stud. His brothers on the right aren’t as red due to genetic variation or simply at lower pecking order. I have Flametail from the SAme batch that have no red, more yellow or all blue. I keep the females separately from the males so the brothers don’t squable with one another which is feasible with this species due to their peaceful nature.

What size do they start to color up

LOL, see previous comments. How soon, or not they begin to color up is going to depend on a number of factors, including sex ratio in the group etc. Are you even certain that you have males in this group? Six fish is not a guarantee of having a mix of males and females. Typically you will start seeing signs of a male at around 2", but that's not carved in stone.
