How long for whitespot to fall off

First off salt is salt (NaCl) you can use any kind (aquarium salt is BS), as long as its just NaCl, I use water softener salt to treat, a 50lb bag for $5.
When a white spot leaves a fish, the spot is 100 or more new ich being hatched, it doesn't mean the ich is dead when it leaves the fish, it just means there are more.
And the new ich are microscopic, you can't see them attaching to the inner gill membrane with the naked eye.
Unless you kill those new ich that fall (hatch) off, it prolongs the disease.
Its when the ich comes off, that it is when it is vulnerable. It is killed by heat, or salt, or meds. The meds changes the osmotic conditions in the water, so the ich basically implode. It takes time to eradicate ich from the tank, you must kill every emerging parasite, it helps to heat the tank, because beside killing new ich, it speeds the life cycle. Vacuuming also helps, because some dormant ich can sit in the substrate for different lengths of time. It is programmed to do this, in case conditions at the moment aren't right, this way, in case they aren't right, some survive.

So what could be going on is the other fish are a bit resistant and the water is being cleaned well but the fish with it are already stressed for one reason or another.
Also the barbs are chasing and mating style behaviour they always have so rubbing each other all the time.
I think I have two females and four males so they are still happy.

The arowana leaves them alone as long as they don't swim at his face .
But they all get so carried away at rubbing each other they forget to pay attention and he will chomp them.
They really hardy but still lose a few scales here and there they are keeping away more now but the white spot stays.

Takes a couple of weeks to ensure, with salt and temps alone. I prefer meds, eradicating inside of 5 days
If 1 or a few fish in your tank had/have ich, the entire tank is infected. You cannot take out what appears to be the infected fish and treat it separately, the tank and all fish need to be treated. Some fish may not have outward symptoms, but must be assumed to have ich. Although a few fish may have a slight resistance, in the confines of an aquarium with each white spot popping out hundreds of parasites, there is no escape without some kind of treatment. And you must also figure the treatment will take weeks, not days, longer or shorter, dependent upon how aggressively you treat.
I always used a salinity/conductivity meter, and add water softener salt by the handful over a few hours until my salt concentration level is up over 3 ppt (parts per thousand), with that concentration, the water would have a slightly salty taste.
And when I vacuum, I check salinity again, and add more salt if the level drops below 3ppt.
Just for reference, sea water is about 35ppt. Most of the time, anything under 3 ppt just irritates ich, but does little damage to them.
