How Long Has Your Equipment Lasted?

Bought an Emperor 400 in 1998. I had to replace the impeller recently. Its in a 75 now. Been running constantly, only turned off for a day or two once or twice when moving, for around 16 years now.

That is a quality piece of equipment.

My favorite longest lasting filters are aquaclear 500s. For the $$, they turn a LOT of water, and last forever. Never had a cannister last that long without something breaking.

I have to +1 the AquaClear filters. I have an AquaClear 150 (now known as AquaClear 30) that is over 20 years old. It's silent and both moves and cleans water perfectly.

I've had a cheap Rio sump pump that's been running for a solid year. That may not be a long time to some but that's a lot longer than any hob filter I've had.

Just lost on of my Eheim jager heaters last night. First time I've ever had one of those heaters go bad. I've had several Odyssea heaters fail in a few months though.
The Eheim must have been 4+ years old though. Thankfully, I hoard heaters like they're a precious metal, so there's another jager back in the tank.

My Fluval fx5 has been running for nearly 4 years, I think! Pretty good even though sometimes I don't maintain it properly. :lipsseale

I have a eheim 2215 that I've had for 8 yrs, and recently purchased a eheim pro 3 2080

Two Eheim pro 2 running with since 1996. A few seal replacements and one has a new impeller 6 years ago.

I have a dinoflow filter from the 60's that can still be used. Its been in retirement though for 10 years. I have an eheim 2028 that's 8 years old aquaclear filters ranging from 3-7 years and a pro 3 eheim 2075 that just made it onto its 3rd year. I got eheim jager heaters that are 5+ years old all keeping within 1 degree. Air pumps best one I've ever had was an old hagen lasted 10 years. The new Rena's and stuff for me last 2-4 years

I'll chime in.... AGA 40 Gallon long....purchased in the early 1980s by my BF along with the light fixture. Tank still looks beautiful after being freshwater, saltwater, and now planted too. The UGV is powered by an Aquaclear 802, and we have a few spare aquaclears underneath the tank that I'm sure if I needed them, they'd start right back up in a heart beat.
