How long have u starved a ray for?

i know some1 pushing 5 weeks on a female, the last week or so she has been mouthing it for a few seconds then spits it out and moves on and doesnt touch another piece until the next days feeding and does the same thing, she is going to go to week 6 then getting fed some worms again if she doesnt start eating. figure if shes starting to chew into it then why give in now might as well try a few more days, right?

Thanks for feedback everyone. I am on day 4 and the motoro still won't touch pellets. hopefully 2-3 weeks should do it...

i never had to starve my motoro into eating pellets. i just marinated the pellets in mysis shrimp. they ate all of them up the first shot.


longest i have ever starved my rays was 4 days... i went out of town..

Funny thing is, ive starved it 2 months it wont take pellets, but it takes pellets marinated with cut up worms even before the starvation period...

yah it works, most of the time...i was feeding marinated pellets for about one month; then one day i just through the pellets in as is and they ate it...

Im trying that method now too, ive tried throwing in pellets every now and then, but after the initial pounce she just swims away...so close...
