Correct me if I'm wrong here: there were a bunch of 10(maybe 20g)s lined up, a number of 65-75g, some 40 dollar ponds, a BUNCH Of OVER-SIZED PVC piping, and stand material(cinder blocks /wood).....You talking about that lot in Florida that was originally posted for $25-30k on EBay....That $2500 you just noted should of been the first sale price....
.....O.K., maybe $8-10k, but nothing higher....I could not understand where the 30k could of came from....
In my newbie days, I'd buy a fish whenever and wherever I could....It was'nt like getting 10inch Doviis or 2ft arowanas, nah....I'd started off with collection fancy goldfishes.....I'd get an Oranda or Black Moor every 1-3 month....
I splurge about 4 times a year (gcca auctions/swap meets). The rest of the year I try to stay away from LFS becuase, sometimes I just can't help myself. So I'll say once every 2-3 months I buy fish.
Nine years, ending last November or December when I bought a Jack Dempsey.
It wasn't anything against fish; when I was 12, my tank sprung a leak so I had to get rid of the one fish I had at the time (a Demspey), and I didn't have any money for another tank, let alone any equipment to keep fish. Then when I got a job when I was 16, the first thing I did was go out and buy a blood python.
Two or three weeks ago, I got a baby oscar and a baby jaguar cichlid. It'll probably be a few years before I buy any more fish since I'm in college, getting married in June, and currently broke and looking for a job to support my wife, fish, and blood python.

before last month i dont think i got any fish since july or august. and hopefuly soon ill have money for a new tank. so in this hobby i dont think people can go verry long without a fix.
8 days ago I bought a king tiger pleco. Oh and a buddy gave me a yellow calvus yesterday because it killed 2 dats.
