How long should i starve my Armatus?

Like I said in an earlier/different thread, when they first grow the tusks back after losing them, they look huge in their mouths as compared to when the tusks start dying. Just something I noticed.

im gonna try ur pellet idea today. i think if the shrimp floated it would help.

he always eats the first 2 or three shrimp but once he realizes what it is he wont eat anymore.:screwy:
 
well i tried the pellet idea and no go.

i got some silversides and no go.

does anyone know a brand of silversides that float? or any other frozen food that floats?

he is soooo stubborn:screwy:
 
looks like hes gonna have to get used to shrimp.

im gonna try krill next time i go to the LFS

i know it sucks, mine only eats one or 2 shrimp a day. hes getting skinny:(:(

he better get used to it

I just put mine back into a 75 gal by himself because he just went over 6 weeks without eating.(10"er) I offered shrimp everyday and he was in with my p-bass watching them eat at the top. I tried the shrimp on a string. Nothing. He is back eating feeders like crazy. I like watching him eat live anyway.

try getting him on dead feeders....
