Yeah I just put three dozen ghost shrimp in for mine, hoping he eats some.

live or frozen bloodworms drop those in at night when the lights go out, you may not see him eat them but he will

mine didn't appear to be eating for about two weeks after i got him but i bet he was just going out at night and finding whatever he wanted.
