Well, don't go for the smallest one. It's easier to feed a juvenile vs an infant. I imagine a small eel isn't as bad as a big one. I'm a fan of testing your biological filtration. Are there any smaller fish you plan on getting? Maybe grab one of those first. Do you have any clean up crew in there yet?

A few hermits and snails to start, maybe a cleaner shrimp if you'd like.

See if your levels change much after adding them.

Your call, those little turds are expensive. I've got 4 in my 150 and that's sufficient. They are like $30usd each depending on where you get them.

Yeah, singly they are fine, but when you buy multiple they start to add up!

Start to slowly add small invertebrates and monitor your levels closely. This is a key time.

What kind of skimmer do you have? My skimmers have been working overtime cleaning up.
