My last batch grew from 4" to 11-12" in six months. They slowed down a little after that. I'd say you have 12 months.
Yeah, but they had a good start already being 4" long. I have had mine since he was 1.5" and 8 months later he's 10". I get all my info from people who have been keeping them for a long time and I get the same response from many. In 12 months they'll be 12-15". I'm actually experiencing fairly good growth as far as tems grow. I'm sure he'll be 13-15" by the time he's 12 months old.

My first tem grew from 2 inches to a foot long in about 8 months. The tem I currently have is growing at a rate of about an inch a month. So if you do the math.....from 2 inches to twelve would be ten months. Like many have said before me it is all based on diet, water quality, temp of the tank and so on.... Hope this helps

What are you saying? Are you telling me I'm wrong and that a tem won't last 12 months in a 4x2x2. I get my info from personal experience and I value that more than what I read on a forum.
I also kept a 3" tem for over 18 months and he was 14-15" when I sold him. His growth slowed after the 12" mark as well. Don't discredit my input based on a guess.

To the guy who started this thread. Don't buy a temensis if you have no intention of keeping it.

No, I'm saying that it will last longer than 12 months in there.
