I don't think green water flows out of your tap :D

LOL. it's not green when i drink it in a cup or anything. It not green when it's coming down the tap. I was wondering if it might be green of a concentrate of chlorine is in a large body of water (like in my new 75 gallon tank). It's just like lake water. If you see the whole lake, it might seem blue but if you put some lake water in a cup or container it's just clear 9assuming the lake isn't pulluted or anything like that).

How do you concentrate it when the source (tapwater) is diluted?

yes it would have settled at the bottom. it just would have been a test of your patients  and like they told you. the lite powder would stay at the bottom anyway.

You should read your other posts where you asked the same question  The green tinge come from the glass, since glass is green, not white.

Oh, if you were really lazy, a filter would have eventually removed the small particles, but you would have a wasted filter pad or two or three.

ROFL!!! i've kept fish for quite some time. it's just that i've never experienced this before.

im guessing you didnt rinse the sand before you added it?

Cause if you did it about ten times in a 5 gallon bucket the sand would just fall to the bottom and not stir up making the tank look cloudy.

i know i'm a very impatient person LOL. But it seems that my tank isn't tinted green. when the tank DIDN'T have water in it, it was what you suspected from a "normal" tank, all clear with no tinted colour. When i filled the tank with water, the top where is was not filled with water was all crystal clear whle the part where the water is is "greenish".

if the green water persists i would get a uv sterilizer. Worked wonders for me!
