Depends on the individual... maybe you just got a nice one?

Nevertheless, be prepared to separate at the drop of a hat.

wow. haha talk about tempting fate.

i only know enough about jars not to keep it with anything else, but i've got to ask ; do you have back up plans if/when the combo fails?

like he said, some are just placid, then there are some theories about plant and or log cover making them non aggressive.

depends on the individual, really. Watch out and have a bck plan

The scary part is, most likely, it's not going to be a trend that you notice. It will (probably) start, happen and be over with in a matter of a few seconds. Of course, it will also probably happen when you're asleep or away from home.

I have had it happen with other fish species. One day, everyone is getting along. The next day, the bottom is littered with battered fish.

I would love to say it looks like you have a peaceful fish. But...given time, once the Jar gets comfy, I would bet that you are going to start losing tankmates frequently.

Good luck to you!

oh definitely... i'm planning to clear out my other tanks though. i just want one tank.. double the size of this one i currently have...

the only reason why i attempted this combo because the guy i bought my congicus from had a 400+ gallon tank with 2X JARDINI (both were supposedly given from other peeps because they were too aggressive) in there with pbass, gars, bichirs, and some other large fish...

so IMAGINE 2 jardini in 1 tank (i saw the pics) the jars where about 18-20" i think... so I came up with a theory that jardini's are aggressive and may only kill if the tank is too small and no other hiding areas for the smaller less aggressive fish...

I was hoping that there are EXPERIENCE fishkeepers out there who experienced the killer instinct of the jars: what size of tank, stock, and aquascaping they have...

2nd day and still no major aggression, stressed out fish, or fight injury... I'M STILL HELL'A NERVOUS ABOUT this COMBO though since everybody says it wont work...

the armatus pbass datnoid combo worked for over a year... and some say its a dangerous combo
