how long would it take for an silver to outgrow a 125

I'd be a lot happier with a 240 8x2x2 for life. or a 200 breeder at 4x4x2 (we have both) in fact we elected to to move pinky out of a 150 4 x 2 x 2.5 and into a 135 6 x 1.5 x 2 because of the added length.
Arowannas....RTC's and TSN's are ALL reported to go grow into monsters overnight.
WE have all three and while they DO grow fast. Especially at first...that growth tends to slow down a bit and falls WELL short of the reported 2.5 feet a year...
A lot of this growth is based on stories by people who had theses fish for a short time during the early growth spurts and then sold or returned to the LFS.
Unfortunatly the internets FULL of information of the...."I read about a guy who knew a guy who met this dude that told him..." variaty.

I was only answering the question he asked wolf.... He asked a question that no one answered from his initial post.. He wanted to know how long it would take his 5" arow to grow a foot 
My Silver is 18 months old and 22" when i put him in the tank a few months ago.. My black grows at an extemely slower rate.. I was only asnwering the question that was skipped over
And I did not read about my own experience I watched my Silver grow from 5" my best friends tank
I in no way intended to pass on that as a fulltime growth for any sp.

LOL I know that Tongue...I belive I was typing that out while you posted your responce. I was just addressing the internet myth responses. Your answer was right on the money as far as I'm concerned. Thats about we've seen with Pinky.
I can remember when we first joined MFK and my wife was bieng slammed for buying an 18" TSN.....
It NEEDS a 4 million gallon tank and grows over a foot a week....
The 240 will NEVER hold it....it'll outgrow it in a year....
LOL The TSN in question has grown about 2" in 9 months and hasn't even NEEDED to move into the 240 yet....let alone outgrow it or the the 200 B. He eats well and is healthy as a horse. and is NOT stunted.
