what about the lions and tigers? their instinct is to hunt and kill to survive right, but when they were raised in captivity and has steady supply of food they got tamed right? cant that theory be used to fish?

they don't get "tamed", put a deer in the enclosure and see what happens

They are tamed to a certain degree, but that doesnt stop thier natural instinct from kicking in every now and then. People get attacked by "tamed" animals everyday. It just happens. Same with predatory fish. it is their instinct and nature.

im not saying you guys are wrong, im just trying to get more info and get some of my questions answered cause i know you guys know a lot about fish. :chillpill::chillpill::chillpill::chillpill:

hmmm... true... back to the fish. what about a 250 square meters of pond, will that be enough for them and give them their own space?

we aren't flaming you, we're just trying to keep you from making a mistake that is not only going to cost you, but is going to cost your fish. Research and questions are good, but when something simply won't work, then leave it at that. in the end, I am sure you are going to do wahtever you want anyway so when it doesnt work just know that you were told. Like said before, try and figure out what you are interested in and focus just on that. Don;t risk your fish to try to satisfy your own wants.

you should have had these questions answered before you bought these fish! and youre comparing fish to lions? how stupid is that!!! besides how many people a year are mauled and killed by their "large tame cats". youre point is idiotic!

not only to lions but tamed animals. dont get to furious now cause the point of my question is if i did right or messed-up. none of the fish have died yet i can make a way to separate them and give them a good home. just chill man i was just asking not debating.

people come on here, asking for advice...GOOD
then they go out and do waht they were warned not to do...BAD

it has happened in the past. someone wanted to get pacu and put with his gar. everyone warned him against it, especially since he had a tiny little tank. He went out and got two anyway...a few weeks later he was trying to give them away to a free home b/c they were nipping fins and growing too fast...exactly what everyone told him would happen. This is a great site to learn from. A lot of people have experience that they have found through making the same mistakes. Every fish is different, but when it comes to the nature of the fish there is no changing it.

I had a fish for almost a year that lived with my gar. One night, he swam past one of the gar and out of instinct, the gar struck at him. He popped his eye....and from there, all of the other fish saw it was injured. That morning, all that was left was about an inch of its body. It happens. it can work, but maybe not forever.

Again, I would work on getting rid of some of your fish to lighten your load and focus on a few compatible ones. This entire thread has come down to this point so I see no more reason for debate.

i know, ever had the feeling that there could be a way into something that you want? im having that now but im not so stubborn to risk my fish. i just want closure to the things that caught my mind and ideas etc.
