Not looked at prime.I will have a look at their website.
Do you find they are cheaper?Or are their tanks nicer/better quality? 2
 
I am looking at an upgrade as well but am not sure how to make it fit given my narrow stairway.

I wish I could be happy with an 8x2x2 it would make life a lot easier.
My retic is a female with a disc of about 13 inches.Im not sure how much bigger she can get.I have never seen a bigger one but I'm sure they are out there.
She is three years old, if I new she wouldn't get any bigger then I think an 8x2x2 would be ok.
It's the chance she may keep growing that makes me want the 8x2.5.
It's going to cause some work though for the extra 6 inches.
Can't believe some sites I have visited recommend a 125 for a reticulated ray.
 
I think you're good. Limit how much you have kyung in the substrate and keep it open and you should be fine.
