how many 12 to 14 inch max sized bichirs can i fit in a 75 gallon for life??

It's not a matter of how many bichirs you can place in but a matter of how much your filter can hold the bio-load. Biggest weeksii I've seen is 23" and teugelsi at 25"+. Bichirs that are capable of growing to 20"+ usually will reach length of 19-21" in 2.5-3 years except for congis which grows so much faster and ansorgiis which grows so much slower. With a 75g tank you're only limited to mostly small species of upper jaw captive breed bichirs.
dang. i always though that teuls only grow to that small (same with weeksis). how slow do ansorigiis grow?? do I have time to keep one until upgrade??
I have a ehiem canister filter and a regular 30 to 55 gallon (I think) power filter. Can that handle a huge bioload. how long will it take for tuegs and weeksis to grow to 12 or 14 inches??? i've kept my albino bichir for a year and my delhezi for hlf a year and they roughly only grew around 2 inches or less! WTF??
It sounds like you either aren't doing enough water changes, or aren't feeding enough.

WOW. i know that my tank is in near mint or mint. i guess i'm feeding my bichir too little. Sometimes i feed them once every 2 days. My albino is growing faster than my del!!
Mine generally rotate, one day pellets, next day shrimp. Each of them will easily eat an entire tiger shrimp themselves, sometimes up to two in an evening meal.
