How many asian style tanks do you have?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I don't think holding tanks count as those are jam packed more often than not.

On another note, my lfs guy just dropped off my altums and I asked him about the lucky fish. The ones he said he knew of were:

The arowana for its resemblance to a dragon.
The datnoids as they are called tigers.
Flowerhorns for their big heads that bring prosperity.
Blood parrots because they are red.
And it looks like a solid red ( think the reddest blood parrot type fish) with a nuchal hump that they call a Mammon over here.

A Mammon:

Three
29gal w/ 8 tiger barbs and 9 harlequin rasbora
75gal w/ 8x kubotai, 1x E. bicolor
300gal w/ 12x clown loach - hoping to get that number up to 25 soon and add 15-19 scissortail rasboras

Lol and I'm from Singapore and I didn't know

I only know that Flower Horns are popular because many claim that numbers (4 digits) appear on their fish and they strike the lottery by buying the numbers.

We do have a lottery here called 4D. There are draws every Wed, Sat & Sun

Sorry about the crappy pics...the glare from the window was awful so i could only salvage a couple. I figured something was better than nothing. I'll try again soon. Also don't mind the fh. He caught some terrible disease and lost all his scales. Quite literally. I thought he was a goner.

Another forum I frequent said goldfish and koi bring goodluck too

There is even a fengshui chart on the Arowana but it's in chinese..... I think most can't read it here so I won't post it. And sad to say my Mandarin is not good enough that I can translate it properly
