Yes I will. I have just bought a 30 gallon tank, with a 260 ltr/h filter (eheim 2217) to be able to separate fish when it's no going well.

I will defenatly get a datnoides than.

Yes. I've kept many bichirs with datnoids and have never had a problem. In fact, I once had an endlicheri that liked to use a D. quadrifasciatus as a chin rest.
