Yeah your bichirs should be fine in that tank... and you have filtration sorted.! only thing is id make more caves, and put some live plants in... Giant Vallis would be good in that tank... n floating plants would be good idea (Frogbit)! Bichirs like 2 hide... its not like you will never see them again.. i always see mine about! they will be much happier,,

how do you make more caves?

I wouldn't hesitate to put 5-6 sens in there, personally. Maybe even add a delhezi...

Of course, that's me, and I'd keep it a polypterus only (ish) tank.[/quot

i dunno bout you guys, but ornate bichirs costs a lot around my area.. the lfs calls them "Dragon kings".. they would call albinos as "Red eyes Dragon fish" lol.. so, i think im gonna make it a poly tank.. thanks for all the support!!

The simpleset way to make cave is use PVC piping or stack slate tiles or flat rocks.also i wouldn't do more thn 4 smaller upper jaws bichirs-Anne

how do you make more caves?

Anne's suggestions are good!!! but if you would like a natural look to the tank you can stack bogwood they will love it,, big cave with loads of openings....
if ya dont know what i mean here is an example.

My Bichir, and ropefish love to hang around in it...
Id say it would look good in the tank. you have alot of free space in the top section of the tank, I find Bichirs stay near the bottom, i think a cave bulit up in the centre reaching more then half way would look pretty cool....
have a think bout it n maybe some tall plants at the sides

naiss.. fake plants would do right?
