I'd stay away from ornate..mine nipped the cichlids all the time. Made cookie cutter shapes in the tails. Keep to sens dels palmas moke they would be fine. Severums and Electric blue dempseys are some cichlids I keep with mine without issue. Any of what I listed would be fine in that footprint..just keep up with the water changes! Ornate bichir is the most aggressive bichir I have kept..after they got 15''+ they got that way. Before no issue at all just like all the rest. Also if you have gravel like in your avatar, id stay away from ornate they feed different and would eat gravel. My other polys can pick through..ornate just gets a mouth of rocks and try to sort the food out. lol
i currently have 2 sens (one albino one not) , 2 bgk's, a clownknife and an ornate in a 90g with 0 problems. if anything i find my tank to be rather empty at the moment!
