i plan to buy a 100 gallons tank. i have 9 senegals(2-8'',3-4'',4-4'') and a ornate (6'') in a 35 g tank. i also have some bichirs in a 15 gallon tank (2-3''delhezis,2-3''p.polli,2-3''albino sen.)
would they all fit in a 100 gallon tank when they reach maturity? if not how many bichirs can fit in a 100 gallon tank?????
That's like what, 16 bichirs! The ornate alone will reach 24", and all the rest will grow to at least 12". Talk about overload! A 100 gallon tank will have about 7.5 square feet of bottom area, or about 1/2 square foot per bichir. You do the math! As a grow out tank it will be fine, but once they reach 6"-8" range you will need to make other arrangements. As an example I have one 18" endi in a 180 gallon tank with nothing but a large Synodontis. So I guess it depends if you want HAPPY fish or just SURVIVING fish?
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but i recomended just two bichir even your tank is big
