They were used to be called retropinnis but are now officially called polypterus mokelembembe. Here's what they look like. They might be harder to find locally though.

wow cool red eye mabye ill get one if i can find one my senegal is only 6'' long so how big of a bichir could i put in there and not have it grow to fast and eat my senegal should i get a baby or if i can one like 8'' at the biggest

Get something around the same size as what you have now give or take a couple of inches at the most.
 
get some ornates!!!! but delhzi's and sene"s go great together both get about 12-14"'s and live nicely togther so go for it!!!!!:popcorn: :headbang2 :grinno: :naughty:

i would love some ornates but a 55 to small for them and im not getting a bigger tank soon enugh but when i set up my 300 gallon im hopeing to get 1 or 2, ornates are my favorite bichir:D :D

My albino is my favorite though. If you get a Pamas try to go albino, the normal ones are a little too plain, and an albino will always add flare to the tank.
fyi, from what you said your albino should be an albino senegalus. they are sometimes mislabeled as albino palmas in fish stores (local or online). and i notice pics on the internet are mislabeled in the same way.
