Okay, I have a 300 gallon aquarium up and running with a 75 gallong sump tank underneath. I bought a box of bioballs that said it was good for an 85 gallon aquarium. I put all of the bioballs in my 75 gallon sump. Is this enough for my tank or do I need to buy more bioballs? The tank has been running for about a week-and-a-half now.

in a wet dry sump fill it with as many as will fit
in a fully submerged setting scrap them and replace with ceramics

You mean go to a WallMart and buy something called scrubbies? Do I have to replace them or do they last forever? Can I combine them with the bioballs I do have? I have 160 bioballs in my sump. I keep my sump 1/2 full of water.

Where would I buy pot scrubbies, WalMart? When I asked about them, nobody knew what they were. Do they go under a different name?

Agree. You can also at least try to get them moving more with a powerhead also but ceramic would be better.

I think I saw those at the store. Do they sink? They work as well as bioballs right? I can use them AND the bioballs I have at the same time?

I paid over $40 for my bioballs. I am determined to use them. Can more than one biomedia be used at a time?
