i too have this exact demensions tank i agree with t1 i wish i would have gone taller it makes a huge difference this size will work fine ive breed leos in this tank for years the extra foot just makes the tank look so much bigger
I personally wouldn't bother going that high on turnover, as long as the dirt is being moved to the sump then that is enough. Start low and build if needed. More pumps mean more hum from the system and more energy costing you money and the earth resources. I have just added a moving bed of k1 to my sump to increase the efficiency of the filter without increasing the tank turnover.
Please tell about the turnover of your bio reactor trev.you may mislead some. Your prob very slow flow almost like uv . I use sumps as reactors and maybe 500-800 gph through them .but I have many chambers that all are seperate reactors . Honestly I think with the amount of fresh water I drip my reactors are probably not doing much. The waters so clean that the bio only establishes to what it needs to.i do have a pump that circulates and runs through a mechanical unit that turns the tank ten times per hour breaking down organics ect.. Also flow about 500 gph through a series of two 55 watt UVs about 2 feet long each so theirs about 4 feet of bazooka sized UVs .
