My 8" Silver Arowana loves Crickets! I feed him pellets, shrimp, worms, and Crickets. How many should I offer him in 1 given day? I usually feed him a few pellets first and then give him a cricket but he just looks at me like he wants more. Any input would help, Thanks!

Sometimes he will go for a day without eating before he will eat pellets again

Your aro won't eat live if it is not offered to him.

Mine won't touch pellets either. I hope him being 7" just means hes being picky but when hes an adult I expect him to eat everything. As of now Ive seen him eat shrimp and bloodworms. Not sure if he has touched any silverslides or krill I threw in there. Also fed a cricket the other day, never saw him eat it but it was gone, so beats me. Will try to toss 2 more crickets in tonight.

Agree, way to many idiots on here responding to stuff with sarcasm and no help. Save it because we do not want to hear your remarks. Hope someone of knowledge answer your question but certainly will eat more than one!

also dont get why someone would say that when live foods are very good for aros.

Chill, slow down and realize that the response I gave was directed to the quote that was in my post. WHICH IS CERTAINLY NOT YOU

Agreed? Then this make you one of the idiots. Since, first your response was to the same post as I (titustitus). Second you gave no answer whatsoever towards the OPs original question. So my friend YOU are the self proclaimed idiot:duh: At least my post is an answer to titustitus' question. Your's is just a pile of rambling goo.

I agree with you also. We don't want to hear your baseless rambles either. Don't post if you're not going to answer. How does live foods in any way benefit aros? Diseases? Internal parasites? Thiaminase? Nutrient Difficiency? If thats your idea of "good" then yes, live foods are more than "good" for your aros.

How many crickets can your aro eat? However much will fit in its stomach. Doesn't make it a good food source though...

Theres no sarcasm in Bderick's comment either. If you want your aro to eat pellets, then only throw pellets in the tank, its that easy...
