IMHO you can keep as many fish as you want in any size tank... AS LONG AS YOU KEEP UP ON WC. remember as they get bigger the nitrate levels will get higher too. people will flame that you overcrowd if you over do it... just do what makes you satisfied at the same time keeping the fish healthy.

Haha, this pertains to me I think. I stuck 42 indos in a 30g with 40 other fish and do 1-2 water changes a week and have over a 1000gph filtration on the tank. I havent had any probs. I'm moving them to seperate bigger tanks this week but had them like this for over 5 months. I dont recommend doing what I do but I can honestly say that they are all healthy and majority of them are stable.

i had 21 1" baby indos, 1 3" jar, small pleco, and 2 small angel fish in a 10 gallon. did the same thing... water change 3-4 times a week and ran a cheap filter. after about a month, i threw them into my big tank. no deaths while being in the 10g and they seemed very healthy and active, a lot more than in my big tank.

I think I'm going to get six dats then, that is If I still get them. I dont know If I'll have enough money after buying the three black aro's one silver and a motoro pair...
