How many dog people?

fila dos Zores is arhuably one of the most complicated alpha breeds in the world. They look like hyenas, don't they?

Wolves are allmost all over, now that farms tend to be abandonned, as are wild boars.

And those with odd colours and chains, etc, are portuguese guard dogs. Very old breeds, very tough dogs.

They hate coming into the house. Never will they willingly enter the house.

The big black and white bloke killed two wolves in December.....

Miguel my good sir would those Portuguese dogs happen to Cão de fila de são Miguel or Cão de Castro laboreiro? I would love one day to own Cão de fila de são Miguels

Nope. Those are Rafeiro Alentejano and Cao de gado Transmontano.

Fila de sao miguel ( or Azores ) a marvellous breed looks completely different. More like a brundle cane corso or presa canario, but slimmer

castro Laboreiro is samller than these, and dark brindle, allwaya.

Yes they do..:) Fantastic dogs.
Actually, they look 99% like a much smaller version of my favourite dog breed, anyone want to guess which one?:D
That's crazy. We have boar here but not wolves.. I guess you are in North-East Portugal?

Not difficult. You either love the Fila Brasileiro, or Presa Canario and or Cane Corso.

Right?

I live in Lisbon. Wolves ( except me ) are in the countryside, mainly to the north and central mountains.

In wintet hhey come down, since a lot of places are abandonned, sadly, with people still thinking life is better in the cities...

I meant the Fila Brasiliero and/or the South African Boerboel :) I love those two breeds!

Wow here you read in the paper how endangered wolves in Iberia are because of the lack of rabbits.. And in reality they are even coming near the cities!
You live on the far outskirts of lissabon,no? I can't imagine the wolves would come closer than a few dozen km to the city centre..

EDIT: btw, the boerboel was bred using the cane corso and presa canario. So you are right after all :)
