They have all spawned until I took doen the tank and did a much needed cleaning now they all kind of chill out. the two male rams are always after one of the females to no avail. The angels just enjoy the married life lol
I bred GT earlier this year. Male about 7" female 5". I really didn't try to breed them but my female was ready and I just purchased the male and put them in the same tank and they bred a week later. Had about 300 fry but they all caught ick and died after couple weeks after freeswim.
I currently raising 5 week dovii fry. The bigger ones are a little over an inch now. I had the male first he's about 10". Got the female 6" later and they bred after week of being placed together. You can see vids of them in my sig. Scroll way back and see the GT video of fry.
Convicts have bred 4 times until i sepearated them, blood parrots have been laying eggs and eating them straight after and Red Dragon Flowerhorns a few times until i gave them away
I also got tons of eggs from some albino golden discus but I never saw fry. They ate the eggs as quickly as they laid them.
I spent a lot of time raising fry this summer but there wasn't much interest when I tried to sell them, so I think I'll be taking a break from breeding for a while. The only thing I'm still trying to get to spawn are my Krobia.
Woo, chalk one species up for me. My F1 pair of Parachromis sp. "La Ceiba" (yellowheads) spawned last night. Kind of surprised me and I had to swap out the filter from the tank. Note to self, don't stick hands in the tank with a 9-inch, very angry male Parachromis. OUCH! I have teeth marks in my finger and a scratch on my finger nail! lol.
We just had 2 new kinds to add to our list we have fry from our rostratus about20 of them 3 weeks old and this week red spot gold sevrums that are now free swimming I think thys for this is our most exciting as the males are quite often sterile.
