kinda small, if you add a divider you may have a male in it otherwise one of them will end up dead. But if you go look in asian aquarium most flowerhorns are stunt.

is there any other cichlid that can be kept with her

in a 55? man i dunno....its really not a good idea. try a few jewels, cons, a pike species that stays medium sized, some medium really tough guys who wont grow large. some people have to learn for themselves and i understand that i don't like taking advice if i don't respect the person. so my only tips, as it seems you will try it is 1) try another species of fish eg. a birchir, catfish, loaches/botia or knife. all of those will/may eventually need a bigger tank tho. 2) get cichlids that are tough and max out at about 4" - 6" keep about 4 to spread her aggression out a bit. 3) get another really tough SOB fish with a completely different body type. In reality 55 is really only good for her tho.

In a 55? No.

If you give her to someone that can house her you can then get other cichlids that can be kept for life in the 55g.

Flowerhorns can get 12 inches. So obviously a 12 inch wide tank is to small.

+1

Either this or you need a bigger tank. I've tried cramming a lot of fish in a small tank when i started in the hobby, I wanted the biggest and meanest fish and as many of them as i could pack in a 55. Not beacuse i wanted to do the wrong thing. I wanted to experiment with different fish and just didnt have the money or tank space to do it another way.

I'll tell you what will happen tho. They wont act natural due to not having proper room. One will kill the other (eventually). Then it will suffer alone in a tank that is too small for it.

You want a mean fish that doesnt get too big for a 55 and can breed properly in one. Salvini.

If you lived in a small apartment you wouldn't try to raise a horse inside of it. Same line of thought here. "This pony fits just fine... look at him!!!"

I agree. My salvini lives in a 90 with a few other fish and is quite a character. Plus they are beautiful.

i use 50 gals to grow out fh's. divid it into 2 or 3 or 4.

you can divide it into 2 or 3 sides, otherwise you cannot have any fish with her. Any fish that are small can live in a 55g, but cannot handle fhs aggression.
It is possible to keep your FH with a large armored pleco. When I bought a 5" pleco with a 4" FH, it was still murdered.
