How many Burundi Frintosa's could I house in my 200 gallon tub...(45"x39"x27"

hi depending on size of fish at about 15cm + you can have about 14 to 16 would be a good number i have a 7x2x2 tank and it ahhs 8 fronnies atm want to put 14 and by them self they have heaps fo room in there tank 14 would look great in there

Yes, they do best kept in colonies. They reach sex maturity at about 4yrs. Try having a 3f-1m ratio for best breeding results. I would start with 20 or more w/c and select out the best.

I dont have any personal experience with Fronts but imo because of their adult size I would think those dimension would be less than ideal for a adult breeding group.

frontosa are pretty hard to breed unless you plan on going long term. Ive seen them kept in colonies in that size tank with 8-12, and they usually dont breed until like 6-8 inches i heard.
the dimensions on that tank are horrible. Frontosa chill at the bottom so most of the tank will be unused.

frontosas does well on 6 footer tanks. like 120gal for a small colony. 180gal for Med size colony and 240 gallons for a large frontosa colony.
