I have two oscars in my 180. I had a thread going a week or so ago about how I would like to add one or two more fish. Last night a good friend of mine called me and told me a guy he knows has two 10 inch oscars that he is either going to throw in a pond or give them to the neighborhood raccoons. I went ahead and took them but now I have four big oscars in my 180 with a very small pair of convicts. It doesn't look too crowded and I like them all alot. My question is am I overstocked?

IMO you'll be fine. Though you may now have to upgrade filtration and increase your water changes. How about some pics?

Its run on a 30 gallon sump that is mostly bioballs with good mechanical. There is some minor aggression they all pick at each other. I'll probably do a 25% water change every 7-10 days. I'm getting married in September and my dad is going to be feeding them for me and I will have to come do water changes for a while until I buy a house. Crappy situation for my tank but if I sell it I will regret it and I love these fish.

I'll get some pictures up in just a few! Still going back and forth between the computer and the tank! If you read my other new thread I am switching my tank over to bare bottom and its pretty murky right now.

agree with the above, although with too many conspecifics problems can emerge when/if pairing up happens
