I am Trying to Breed guppies for feeders in a 10Gallon Tank for a healthy supplie. Well Atm i have 2Dozen(24), Most arnt even .5" put a couple are +1". i Was wondering How many should be in there should i add another 2doz. And how big is a guppie
before it can breed.

I put about 10 females and 2-3 males in a ten for my best results...You can tell when they are ready by looking at the females stomach...

I have had many dozen guppies in my 10 gallon. And they will start breeding when they are still fairly small.

I'd get as big a tank as possible if you want to have the most success. I used to have a colony of mollies that I used for feeders in a 55 gallon, but they eventually could not keep up with my clownknife and his appetite. The bigger the tank the faster the guppies will grow to eating size, though you could also accomplish this by doing frequent water changes.

If you have to stick with a ten gallon I'd go with at least 10-12 females and 2 or 3 males (like said above). The trick is to try and keep the female to male ratio at about 5 or 6 to 1 because they limiting factor is not males and their sperm it is females and their gestation space/time.
