Keep you're tank light on for? I have mine set on a timer but just curious what you guys are doing. The fish seem to like the light off during the day, they all seem to move around a lot more.

mostly never, house lit enof. exception saturday I turn the lights on to vacuum the gravel and the such and just leave em on.

My plant less tank gets 3 hours between dinner and bedtime, lightly planted gets 5 hours in the evening, hitch planted gets 2 3hr photo periods.

All my tanks are set on timers. 8 hrs. My nano reef, planted tank and all my fish only tanks.

They are set to come on at 7 pm till 3 am. This is when my electrical rates are cheapest also when I'm home the most.

All my tanks are planted. About 14 h light a day, with a 2h break to make it less favourable for algae

My live plants all do wel and get plenty of light but for some reason I have some moss that just went to crap lately. I think it's Java miss but it turned brown with very little green left and has gotten worse over time. Not sure if I'm giving to much light or what. All my other plants are green and growing.

Usually I run my lights for 8-12 hrs. No plants, but the tanks are in a dimly-lit basement.

All 4 tanks....75,80,270,600 are 8 hours....dim blue/night lighting for 16

I have noticed that keeping dim night lights reduces aggression

I used to have all my tanks on timers for 8 hours during the day but would come home from work late and would have to turn them back on for viewing and to spot holding females...Have since started turning them on from the time I get home till I go to work in the morning, which is usually about 8 hours as well...
