how many liters/gallons does the AC110 hold?

I never said you were going to just "dump" it in....I think you are being kind of tough on people who are trying to help you....You need a mech sponge, the bag will not keep the particulate matter off of your media, but you are correct, it is your tank, do what you want. All we can do is suggest...And we did.

That AC110 holds less than 1 liter of bio media. That's the most important. Which also sucks.

not really, since it still holds more than any other HOB filter.

and it will last you 15 years or so. for about $80 (Canadian lol)

but I agree, lets not pretend its a canister with lots of room for media.

it isn't.

but for an affordable HOB filter, its the best out there with the most media capacity.

Measure the media chamber… then grab your favorite conversion chart and figure out mathematically how many liters it is… I can also agree that an AC 110 holds less media than a typical canister but suggesting it holds less than one liter is just hog wash…

sorry man.. that's not true.... i just filled one of my ac110s with one liter of seachem matrix...its not even 1/2 full.... its gonna hold about 2.5 liters just like bigspizz said! -

My last post stated I did not see the last sentence in your original message stating you wanted the entire volume of the AC110.

need to know because i plan to fill one of my 2 ac110s up with purely Eheim substrat bio media. im not sure how many liters i need to buy..
