How many of my 8 bulbs should I run

hey man check out what this guy said. pretty similar situation to yours and he only runs 2 T5HO bulbs for most of the day. who knows what will happen with 8

I have 108w T5 run the majority of the day over my 90g, with a 3 hour noon burst that ups the total wattage to 216. I have found this to be more than enough light - my plants put on great growth, my eleocharis acicularis has grown into a thick, dense mat, and my d.diandra and r. nanjenshan blush like mad. You'll be fine with your photoperiod.

Yea dude, my plants are going to be out of control! There's a plus side, I'll have lots of plant to sell once I start trimming

ha yeah youre gonna be trimming everyday! gonna have to make sure your co2 keeps up with the lighting

with that high lighting you will need alot of co2. i would cut down to about 3 wpg and save some money on that. bigger tanks with co2 dont really need that much light, plus the algae your going to create will be alot of work.

Yea, the CO2 and lighting are going to be a trial and error process that's for sure. I'm sure I'll be able to find a happy medium without too much trouble
