How many of us use Dehumidifier

I am up to 500g and have decided to get one. Does anyone else have one and does it help

wont a dehumidifer make it worse by pulling water out of the tanks instead of natural evaporation

Dehumidifier pulls moisture out of the air that comes from the aquariums. I don't like waking up in the morning and smelling the moisture in the air

I realize that. I could be wrong but wont it pull more moisture out of the tanks?

I just do not want that smell in the house and I would be prety PO if I get mold

Dehumidifiers don't 'pull' moisture from the tanks. However, the dryer room air allows for an increase of evaporation due to making the room air further away from saturation levels.
Performing regular water changes makes the effect less noticeable. Plus, there's the added benefit of preventing mold, fungal, and bacterial growth in and around your tank(s).

I have 2 industrial dehumidifiers--one in my office (fishroom) & one in my livingroom (more tanks in there), total of 9 tanks. Each pulls out about 2g/day.

I have one in my bedroom and sleep like a baby when it's on at night! Oh, wrong reason...

Yeah, we've been fighting mould for years... Hence, the 2nd dehumidifier. Those things ain't cheap!
