As of now I am home sick with laryngitis and a sinus infection but no flu it really sucks (I don't believe in flu shots ) my parents do though but I never get fly shots since I was like 12 and I'm 17 now I haven't had the flu since

I never understood why companies making money is a reason to NOT get vaccinated or use medications. Yeah, they want you to spend money on their products. Sure, if you spend tons on a name brand rx to grow more eyelashes or lose weight you probably have more money than sense. But do companies selling homeopathic, naturalistic, organic, etc products not make a profit? Do they not try to protect their interests as well? It's not evil when my local natural supplement store advertises, but it is if a pharmaceutical company does.



Edit: in case it doesn't make sense oscar attached a pic with an argument that since people are getting rich off you being sick they don't want you well.

Does anyone ever still get the flu after being vaccinated? I've heard of the vaccine making people sick right when they get it.
 
Sorry for calling you an idiot (the one i did) i was riled up. But i would rather keep aluminum, and all those other dead or weakened viruse/bacterium out of my body. But just some common sense. Why would a huge company, make billions of dollars want you completely healthy. Sure, short time so you trust it but long time so you dont spend any more money on there crap? Just sayin.

The flu virus in the vaccine is killed (although I believe the nasal vaccine has a live, attenuated virus which means it is alive but cannot replicate nearly as much). To get the flu the vaccine must be live and replicating. Your body mounts an immune response to the dead virus which can cause symptoms similar to the flu although not nearly as extreme. If you are already incubating an illness getting a vaccine, which further strains your immune system (the basic principle of how a vaccine works, otherwise you wouldn't build immunity and the vaccine would be pointless) can make your illness worse. Have you ever had a cold and then caught a stomach bug? It's worse because you're dealing with two problems instead of one. That's why they won't give vaccines if you have a temperature; that indicates you may already be ill and vaccination is contraindicated. People who claim to get the flu afterward were likely already coming down with something.

I see, and yes I have, and yes it did suck. Idk, if there is a possibility the vaccine could work against you, you'd be rolling the dice every year every vaccination. Like I said its usually 2-3 years between getting sick for me. Maybe for a medical field worker or school or day care worker it may be worth it.
 
Well my flu turned into something worse. Ive had a fever for three days now on and off and my throat hurts I can barely swallow . My skin also hurts !!! Kids are better but I think I better be going to a doctor tomorrow . This is not the flu it is something fierce !! I should have gotten the flu shot ....
 
There goes finishing my aquaponics project and the water changes to my three tanks . I cant stand for more than 5 mins !
