I have the same tank, 5' x 3' x 2' very wide. the tank I got with the thickness etc is worth over 1000 dollars alone on just the glass. I have absolutely no regrets with the footprint its perfect. only issue you may have is getting it into your basement. It can be very hard to maneuver
