I am currently keeping one, quick question tho, I got mine from petsmart about 2 years ago and its got alot of black in the fins. I have read multiple things on this and some say stress, i keep my water perfect, but there is a jack Dempsey tankmate that is very submissive to the BP. any thoughts on getting the orange to really pop? the fish has a great attitude but a little shy always come right up tho for food. would you suggest another BP tank mate?

Yea that's stress. Even dominating a tank mate is a form of stress. Feed krill to make orange pop. Tankmate will help. If nothing else, it will divide aggression and stress everyone less.

they got really cheap picked up small ones for three for $15.00 have four now
