180 is the smallest tank i personally know of that successfully bred cichla. a 125 is like a prison cell if you plan to house 6 cichla for life, not too sure on how big they grow to a maximum in captivity but you have to realize that you are housing a fish that gets up to 30 lbs. in the wild thats easily 38-40"
