How many pellets?

I feed medium pellets to my oscar and jag (both around 9") how many pellets are enough without being too much? Right now I give them each around 10 a day but would probably eat 30 or 40 each if I'd let them.

10 Sounds good. If they are healthy you must be doing something right. I make sure to skip at least 1 day a week to help me not over feed as I probably do already.....

Its so hard not to overfeed, they beg like dogs. I feed mine once a day as much as they will eat with in a few minutes. If they don't finish it I scoop out whatever they don't eat.

Well they each ate 25 pellets (mouthfuls of 5) in less than a minute before I cut them off and they were still wanting more so I don't think I'll be following that rule unless I want them to be as round as they are long... lol

You want a good VISUAL feeding gauge? Feed your fish until you can see their stomachs visibly protruding.Until their stomachs are not in-line wtih their body.This is called "visible satiation".
