how many pictus in a 20g?

Well if we get technical pimelodella are a completely different family of catfish. But for now we'll stick to the topic and you're topped out on catfish in that 20.
 
spotted pictus get around 4-5 inches. 4-line on the other hand grow to about 11 inches
 
depends. 3 small spotted pictus can live in a 20 LONG for only alittle. spotted pictus grow to around 3.5-5 inches. 4-line pimelodus pictus grow to 10-12 inches.

if you're not thinking of upgrading, then none.

Clearly people seriously struggle with these two fish, as this is the millionth thread that has started a fight about the size of a pictus cat. Boggy and Bass well done. I too would love to see pictures of a 10" pictus cat. I cant even imagine how old that thing would have to be to have grown close to twice its already max length.
