go for around 5 dats and the rest is it 30'' tall or wide if its only 24'' wide that aro will need a bigger tank so you may wan't to leave it out
standard units of measure so its LxWxH 8'Lx2'Wx30"H. And the black Aro still has some time to grow, either way I have a 2400 gallon pond for it to go to once it gets too big.killerfish;1274540; said:go for around 5 dats and the rest is it 30'' tall or wide if its only 24'' wide that aro will need a bigger tank so you may wan't to leave it out
Thanks Anne, I actually was going to just keep the plants in the wet/dry, not the tank itself. Also the size difference hasn't been a problem so far. The larger is the 2' Ornate and she hasn't messed with the 7" Seg. I do plan on moving the Dels and Seg soon enough. Anubias hastifolia nigeria cameroon ziare ghana togo
Anubias afzelii (senegal,guiena,mali )
Anubias congensis (west africa, congo river)
Anubias nana (west africa, congo river)
Anubias lanceolata (west africa, congo river)
Anubias nana (west africa, congo river)
Anubias frazeri (west africa, congo river)
Anubias coffeeolia (west africa, congo river)
Anubias barteri (west africa, congo river)
Anubias giantea (west africa, liberia cameroon ivory coast)
Anubias heterophylla (senegal,cameroon)
Anubias pyaertii (senegal,cameroon)
Anubias gilletii (west africa)
You could also do floating plants (many of which grow faster)
You're going to have some very big fish which can be hard on plants, not on purpose but just going thru them hunting could uproot plants with poorly developed root system.
My main concern for your tank is the mix of bichirs and their eventual size differences
I can't recomend mixing smaller upper jaw species ie.senegals and delhezis with large lower jaw species-Anne

The fast growing stem and floating plants will do great in your sump, but they'll need gravel to have better root systems.
I've had the same experience as yours with size difference in polypterids. My 12"ers never messed with a 4" sen I added.
I only risked it because that's the only size available around here right now.![]()
