2. While you don't like "nice fish" and "oooooo fish" posts some are legit. And they can be legitamite feedback for the OP. There's only so many ways to give props/respect/feedback to photo's. It is far better to have a busy active forum with feedback that is short and sweet than a forum where no one cares to post.

I totally agree, why bother posting pictures of your fish if no one can say simply "good job". A lot of us like that. I think there's a lot of people like me that would get discouraged if they didn't get any positive feedback. The only thing left would look like this:

OP: Here's my setup <pictures here>
Poster1: How big is your tank?
OP:75g
Poster2: You should have a bigger tank.
Poster1: Hope you're planning on upgrading... newbie...
OP: It's a grow out
Poster1: Good, cuz those fihs get huge.
OP: *I wonder if anyone likes my fish?* I wonder if they like my aquascaping?*
Poster4: Nice fish. EDIT: Post deleted
Thread Closed.

A little over dramatic, but I think it is good to support each other and give positive feedback even if it is one or two words. And for those people who don't care about their own post counts, you don't have to worry about how other people get theirs.

I have no idea
Actually around 200

Is there any problem with posting legitimatly and still not having the post count twoards post count? I see no harm there, i think it would be doing more good than harm.

i don't understand how taking post count out of the equation makes a forum where no one cares to post, just look at how much traffic The Lounge gets.

I think it was to curb enthusiasm for posting useless jargon in that section. Some of the buy/sell threads got or tend to get out of hand, and I don't think anyones thinking this will solve the problem of spam or useless posts. Rather just not encourage it with any reward. I'm not personally offended by a friend vouching and saying "awesome deal" unless it gets out of hand or the OP requests it cleaned.

I'm sure posts not counting in the photo lounge will be considered now that it's been brought up.

1. We didn't delete anything in buy/sell to cause this. Just reversed them counting.
