Reds really need to be overfiltered as they are messy eaters. Tank raised reds are cheap to buy but don't really exude confidence like wild caught P's (Terns, Piraya, Caribe etc). Caribe are fairly easy to get hold of and look the nuts, much better than Reds!

i would go with 4-5 so they can be happy and have enough space
