ok guys i just set up a 10 gallon tank for a quarantine feeder tank and im wondering how many rosy reds i can put in there at a time thanks
vic

i had 30 in a 10gal. i also had a good filter on it aswell.

30 sounds about right. i have done 2 doen guppies. how often will u be feeding? what are u feedin?

im feeding my two 7 inch occel and my 10inch rck and my 11 inch silver aro
i have a small worm farm plus the arrow and rck eat market shrimp so its not a everyday thing for feeding the rosys to them so 30 will be ok ? it has a penguin 350 on it plus how long should i quarantine them for and what should i feed ? thanks vic

i QT my feeders for a month or two. i like to use a filter that i can control the current, to ruff of a current can cause the fish to become more stressed and they dye quicker. IME. but 30 would be good.

i think i might have a 29 gallon in the garage maybe ill set that up with the penguin 350 and maybe do about 70 of them at a time and then after a month put half in the ten then get a couple dozen more and keep a cycle goin

sounds like a plan...keep us posted.

the 29 sounds like a good idea but it makes me sad bc
1 of your QT tanks is the size of my tank lol

Bad idea- nobody else see the problem? The half that you leave in the 29 will be contaminated with whatever the new feeders will have, so you'll effectively have negated their entire month long quarantine period.
