Don't fall for it....it's a test that you'll fail no mater what you do... that "it's your place line is a dead give away. she wants the TWO of you to have something or nothing....trust me...it's on pacge 158 of the man law book.
3 tanks on the go right now, I'd love more but just don't have the room. The lady and I will be buying a house together in the not too distant future, and I've been given the "ok" for a downstairs fishroom. I'm gonna go with 300+ gallon centerpiece tank, with a few 55 to 90 gallon tanks on the side. I can't wait!
LOL! What about that ONE cricket that always seems to find it's way under the fridge or stove and drives you NUTS!
Anyways, my hubby says I can cram in as many as I want when the fishroom is built in the basement, only thing is I don't think I can get the 180 down there. I'm buttering him up to let me put it in the living room and just move the smaller tanks to the basement.
When we went looking for a new house for me to buy... a fish room was a must... of course after 3 months... it became you can turn part of the garage into a fish room... and that is how I got my house... really I had no say... I admit that she get everything she wants... but at least she loves my fish...
i feel with one big tank its less work and you get to look at it more
a fish house is great if you are a breeder but it takes you away from the rest of the familty to much weres dad in the fish house weres dad in the fish house
i like to sit in my living room with my one big tank you spot problem much sooner than if you just go to a fish hose for 2-3hrs per day
t1kar has a good point. Ive finnaly downsized to one tank before my move into the basement and alrdy im enjoying just having the one tank, of course once i move downstairs and i have no limit, i may be swayed into buying approx. 3-87 more. haha.
I should really move out of my parents house, but its just too cheap and I'm saving for my own so... besides... I am afraid to move out, I don't know what I'd buy .
I'm allowed 3 visible tank;
1 upstairs which will be my 55gal but the cabinet has to be changed so you can't see any pipes and has to have neat paneling put on the back as it will be visible from both sides. I will have to setup a sump on it as well so there are no wires running to the tank.
Downstairs I am allowed 2 tanks of any given size, I have my 6'x2'x2.5' currently and have been looking at costs for a 14x3x3 (this is the biggest I can go because I run out of wall). But it all has to look good with cabinets and min cords showing. I am also allowed to setup temp tanks with time limitations in plain view if discussed with my father first, for quarantine and hospital tanks (2 mths is the longest I've got so far and my Dad understands the importance behind it which is great for someone who isn't sure which one is the Oscar, he's slowly learning). He gives me the number limit as well and kicks out the tanks when time is up which seems bad, but if it wasn't for him the only other tank I would be allowed would be a 5'x3'x3' not the 14'x3'x3' (he's thinking about letting it be 4' wide cross ya fingers ).
